A brief insight into the history of Grand Affairs

Peter Grand formed Grand Affairs in 1988 after working for 20 years in the sports and leisure industry.
Working from home the company initially provided quality discotheques for the corporate and private booker,
but it soon became apparent that client's required a full entertainment/event service.
A database was developed of quality artistes/suppliers and to date this exceeds 2000 contacts,
all of whom have proved their excellence.
Grand Affairs works for a number of entertainment providers, pr agencies, schools,
clubs and regular private bookers. Through these we have provided services for major
companies including Car Phone Warehouse, IBM Computers,Disney Store (Europe), VISA,
Pepsi-
Ford, Vauxhall, Volvo, Budweiser,Do It All, Tesco, Sainsbury, British Telecom, BBC Worldwide,
Nationwide Building Society, Rank Leisure, Hertsmere Borough Council, Dacorum Borough Council,
Energiser, Ford, Honda, Hewlett Packard, Schneider Electric, to name a few.
Grand Affairs prides itself on the quality of service it provides and this is reflected in the amount of repeat
business that is achieved. We care for all our client's, large or small, and welcome all comments that
are passed to us.
We are able to cater for all events, indoors or outdoors. From a dinner for two to a major event for thousands Grand Affairs has the resources available. All events, large or small, are given the same attention to detail.
Grand Affairs services are in great demand and in January 2006 Grand Affairs made some radical changes in its operation. The marquee and inflatable divisions have been put under a new management structure
Grand Affairs will continue to ensure that all equipment is maintained to the highest standard and conforms
to all Health & Safety Executive requirements.
In January 2006 we moved our offices to Hemel Hempstead and this will allow us to develop
further interests as well as maintaining our current Client base.
In 2006 we introduced a new activity for events in the form of traditional longbow archery. These services
are supplied through our sister company ‘Medieval Events’, and we also have a range of
archery services available through ‘Archery4all’
In addition we purchased 'Inflated News', the magazine of the inflatable play industry and this now
has a circulation of over 6000 copies a quarter.
